You will get beer even for breakfast in the Pípa beertheque

The Pípa Beer Story Beertheque will open in the bottom area Food Story Dlouhá 14 in the middle of November. It will offer in the beer menu up to 160 kinds of beer from all parts of Bohemia and all over the world, chosen by a beer specialist, Robert Demeter, who created beer menus in Bruxx, Les Moules or T-Anker restaurants. 8 to 10 kinds of beer according to the current offer will be available directly at the tap. In the future visitors will be able to savour local beer originating in the locality of breweries, whose beers are just being tapped, or to take part in the thematic evenings on beer and beer-brewing themes.


Prague, 29. 10. 2015 – The main motto of the Pípa Beer Story Beertheque is a beer with the pedigree. The choice and searching for a beer in the beer menu corresponds to this motto. „Our objective is to offer customers the best beers from our country, where brewing industry is at the high level. Therefore, they will also find a selection of Belgian or German beers at our place,“ explains Robert Demeter, a beer specialist. The selection of beers on tap will be continuously changed and will reflect current trends and news in the beer world. „Our team is constantly searching for new mini-breweries in our country as well as abroad. As soon as we find a brewery, whose beer seems to be interesting for us, we will be happy to introduce it to beer-favourers in our beertheque. Therefore, the customers will find at our place, for example, a beer of Rezek Brewery from Zásada in the Jablonec area, which has been opened very recently,“ adds Mr. Demeter. Straight off within the first days after its opening, the guests may look forward to the quintuple of Prague breweries – beers from Vinohragy, Jihoměstský and Břevnovský breweries, U Bulovky Brewery and Lužiny Brewery will be on tap. In the future Pípa Beer Story is planning to have its own beer, too.


The valuable part of the Pípa Beer Story Beertheque will be represented by beer gastronomy. Pípa Beer Story doesn´t want to confine itself to hermelín and pickled sausages (in Czech “utopenec – drowned man”), our ambition is to demonstrate the pairing of food with beer. „In Pípa people will expect beer delicatessen from all brewery areas. Within pairing of beer and food we will recommend you the food which matches up with your beer the best. We would like to specialize on local pairing. Thus, if Bavarian beer is on draft, we will recommend you Bavarian sausage, meatloaf or wild boar pate directly from Bavarian butchers,“ says Pavel Vondráček, the co-owner of the beertheque. Thus, in the menu the guests will find goodies from small producers and farmers from all over the world, including renowned Dutch cheesemongers, who produce cheese, just ideal for beer. Beer will also have its place in the breakfast menus.
Some evenings in the Pípa Beer Story Beertheque will be devoted to educational events and thematic evenings focused on beer and brewing themes. Interested guests may look forward to lectures on individual breweries and beer in general, its history and interesting things about beer. Representatives of breweries and beer experts will also be our guests. Pípa Beer Story will also arrange blind tasting for public. It is possible to reserve the beertheque area and its services for private events or parties.
